Completed in collaboration with Izzi Glover. This project is in response to the D&AD New Blood 2021 brief set by Connect4Climate - Cheer On The Planet With Sport4Climate. You sit down at the stadium and the players come out in wellies, not what you were expecting, was it? By 2050, ¼ of English football grounds can expect flooding every year, due to the worsening climate crisis. Playing in wellies will be the new normal, if fans don’t take climate action. #GiveItSomeWelly is a stunt to prove a point to fans. Engaging local communities to actively find alternate travel to matches, rather than driving. This will continuously help reduce the carbon emissions causing extreme weather patterns, such as heavy rainfall. ⛈
